The historical Pawtuxet Valley's Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Center has announced a logo design contest. Prizes are a Dinner Gift Certificate for 2 at one of Pawtuxet Valley’s finest restaurants, an article and photo in the PVCC’s newsletter and local newspapers, guest at the PVCC's 12th Annual Dinner at Nino’s on Lake Tiogue, and a “Friend of the Chamber” membership.
Rules are simple any one above the age of 18 can submit as many entries as they want to be considered for the contest. Logo design should be unique and relevant to the historical. Designs should consist of at the most, four colors, one color being the background and the other three being ink colors.
Those submitting a design should attach an envelope on the back of each entry, include a note with their name, address, and telephone number. All entries are due by Friday, June 4, 2010 at Pawtuxet Valley Chamber of Commerce, 1192 Main Street, West Warwick, RI 02893. The Chamber’s Executive Board and Board of Directors will choose the winning entry.

Logo Design Contest in Kingston, NY
City of Kingston, NY is looking for a logo design for their Healthy Kingston for Kids project. The project focuses on child health issues particularly obesity epedemic in children. The project is specifically looking for designs submitted by local design artists.
The requirements for the logo design are that it should be simple and distinctively unique. It should express what the project is all about and what it is trying to achieve. It should be easily identifiable, remain clear at reduced size, can be used in color or black and white without losing clarity, and include a paragraph about how an area youth helped with the design idea.

Logo Design Competition in Owego NY
The Owego Strawberry Festival is looking for a logo design. The comittee responsible for managing the community event has announced a logo design competition with a prize money of $150.
Owego is a village in Tioga County, NY. The population was 3,911 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name is derived from the Iroquois word Ahwaga, meaning 'where the valley widens.
